SEWN’s pilot project in Mentorship, starting in May, will match up 4 to 6 pairs of mentors and mentees and provide them with the tools to make that sharing effective and fruitful for both. The commitment is a minimum 4 hours per month. The objectives are to develop a member’s skills related to business, leadership, and building and managing relationships.

We’ve put together a package with a full description of the program, plus forms for prospective mentors and mentees to fill out and return to SEWN. Once you’ve read through the package, please send an application to firstname.lastname@example.org. We would like to have a full contingent of applicants by the end of April, so we can start in May.
Since this is a pilot program, we probably won’t be able to match everyone up. Those who are selected for the program will be asked to give us detailed feedback as they go, so we can refine our pilot and create an enduring resource for the Sunshine Coast.
SEWN is administering this program, helping to match up applicants, but we are not part of the relationship between mentors and mentees. That’s up to you.
Our volunteer board is excited and enthusiastic about bringing this opportunity to our members. We look forward to working with many of you to create a Mentorship program that fulfills the needs of Self Employed Women on the Sunshine Coast.
